Traverse Winding

At Papertec, we provide many types of custom traverse rewinding for our customers.  Not only is Papertec able to perform center and duplex winding on its machines, we can also traverse wind many different grades. Our traverse winding offers pancake unwinding and layon roll tension at speeds up to 500 feet per minute. Our winder is designed to wind up to a 16” wide x 24” Diameter pool on a 3” or 6” ID core. Our equipment can handle master rolls with up to 30” diameters wound on 3” ID cores.

Custom slit rolls can be cut from master rolls up to 62” wide and 72” in diameter with 3”, 4, 5”, 6”, 8”, 10” or 12” cores. We have both jumbo roll slitting and narrow width slitting capabilities that allow us to produce custom sized rolls anywhere from 1/4” to 62” wide. Laser guided set up and precision CNC slitting equipment means that guaranteed exact tolerances of 1/64” can be held for a range of widths and thicknesses.

Turnaround times vary depending on order volume, but are typically very fast and average between one and two weeks. Custom inventory management and stocking programs are tailored to each customer and may include JIT shipping schedules, Kanban releases, or drop shipping services.
