Tight Tolerance Slitting

At Papertec, we provide custom many types of custom slitting for our customers. Slitting processes include score slitting, shear slitting, and razor slitting. Score slitting and razor slitting do not require complex set-ups, making these processes economical for small run production. Shear slitting provides a superior cut by using two knives to achieve a precision edge. By providing multiple slitting options, the optimal method can be chosen based on volume, material, and tolerance requirements.

Custom slit rolls can be cut from master rolls up to 62” wide and 72” in diameter with 3”, 4, 5”, 6”, 8”, 10” or 12” cores. We have both jumbo roll slitting and narrow width slitting capabilities that allow us to produce custom sized rolls anywhere from 1/4” to 62” wide. Laser guided set up and precision CNC slitting equipment means that guaranteed exact tolerances of 1/64” can be held for a range of widths and thicknesses.

By providing these materials in bulk as well as offering contract slitting, customers receive their products at very competitive prices without sacrificing quality. Turnaround times vary depending on order volume, but are typically very fast and average between one and two weeks. Custom inventory management and stocking programs are tailored to each customer and may include Kanban releases, JIT shipping schedules, or drop shipping services.
